An incurable romantic, Ann K. Simpson was raised with big dreams in the deep South. She collected a few degrees, including a master's degree in journalism from UT Austin that made her a forever fan of compelling stories and the serial comma. Her contest-winning fiction has appeared in Say Good Night to Illiteracy, Transformation, and the Texas Bar Journal, and her nonfiction has appeared in various magazines and newspapers. The mother of two currently lives in Washington, DC.
